About our Program

Little Explorers is a unique place, where joy and happiness are in the air. When we were working on our program and set up, the main question in our heads was, “Would we want our children attending this program?” And after a lot of work and time, we are confident to say, “Yes!”

At Little Explorers, we offer children aged two to five years old opportunities to explore their independence and connection to the world using their extraordinary capacity for learning. The toddler environment is set up much like a home, with distinct areas for preparing food, eating, changing clothes, toileting, group activities, individual work, and quiet moments.

In the Little Explorers’ community, the adults consistently maintain an atmosphere of positive, self-guided discipline, modeling respectful behavior while acknowledging each child’s feelings. In the Montessori Community, every child is The Child. No one is forced to share or apologize, but everyone is expected and helped to behave respectfully toward others.

Philosophy

Little Explorers is a place where kids come first! We are dedicated to our children, and strive to make every moment enjoyable and productive.

Our program is primarily a Montessori oriented program. Maria Montessori believed that development starts from birth, and we share that approach with her. We balance educational and physical progress, outside play and indoor activities, healthy meals, and interactive developmental strategies into enjoyable activities. At Little Explorers, every child receives individual attention, has choices, and develops at their own pace. We offer Montessori materials and tools for children of different ages. Each child can express their own interests, likes, and dislikes. We treat each child with respect and focus on building a greater connection with each other.

We are excited to offer:

  • Infant development from the moment they are born, because the first three years are the most important years for development.
  • Environmental friendly materials.
  • Health and Nutrition, which are essential for a child’s growth and progress.
  • Music, Stories, and Creativity! These tools improve other parts of our brains.
  • Outdoors, outdoors, and outdoors! What is better for a child than fresh air and outside play?
  • Naptime that’s ‘just like home’, with cribs made from natural materials.
  • Monthly reports on each child’s development and progress.

13 + 13 =

The greatest development is achieved during the first years of life, and therefore it is then that the greatest care should be taken. If this is done, then the child does not become a burden; he will reveal himself as the greatest marvel of nature.
